The Yalu Solar Project has been positioned as a utility-scale renewable energy facility, incorporating proven and advanced technologies to strengthen grid stability and support long-term economic growth.
The project will comprise:
• A 10 MW Solar PV plant, developed to utility standards and optimized to harness the strong solar resource of the Yalu area.
• A 10 MW / 20 MWh Battery Energy Storage System, utilizing modern energy storage technology to store and dispatch during critical periods, thereby enhancing the reliability of the Ramu Grid.
Together, this solar-plus-storage configuration represents a modern hybrid energy solution, supporting PNG Power’s transition towards cleaner energy while maintaining stable system operations.
